Jerusalem:Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian home in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Wednesday.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the demolition was carried out on the home of Suleiman Abu Subaih in the al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan. The 80-square-metre house was occupied by Abu Subaih and his wife.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the house had been standing for 25 years. Abu Subaih, who has particular health needs due to the amputation of one of his legs, resided in the home. The governorate also noted that in preparation for the demolition, Israeli bulldozers damaged roads and uprooted trees in the neighborhood to clear a path to the targeted home.
