JERICHO: Israeli occupation forces demolished a house in Al-Jiftlik village, north of Jericho, on Monday. Local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces stormed Al-Jiftlik and demolished the two-story house of Nael Mustafa Bani Odeh, which was built more than 15 years ago in the Triangle area. The occupation forces target Palestinian citizens and their property, especially in Area C, with the aim of colonial expansion and forcing citizens to leave. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation authorities carried out 62 demolition operations last August, which affected 78 facilities, including 36 inhabited homes, 8 uninhabited ones, and 13 agricultural facilities and others, and took place mainly in the governorates of Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem, Tubas and Tulkarm. Israeli authorities also notified 74 homes and facilities to be demolished in the governorates of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Salfit, Tubas and Hebron. Source: Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA
