Bethlehem:Israeli occupation forces demolished an inhabited house today in the village of Umm Salamuna, located south of Bethlehem. The house belonged to a local resident, Nader Abu Shaqra.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the demolition was carried out without prior notice. Mahmoud Taqatqa, an activist against the separation wall and settlements, reported that the demolished structure was a single-story house measuring 150 square meters. At the time of the demolition, neither Abu Shaqra nor his family were present.
The incident is part of a broader context, as the occupation forces have previously issued demolition notices for over 17 other houses in the village. The lack of a prior demolition notice for Abu Shaqra's house came as a surprise to the local residents and activists.
