Post: Israeli Forces Demolish Homes and Residential Building in Occupied Jerusalem

Jerusalem:Israeli authorities have demolished several homes and a residential building in a town within occupied Jerusalem, following the forced evacuation of their owners.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the demolitions were executed by Israeli forces' bulldozers, which entered the town and compelled residents to vacate their homes before proceeding with the destruction.

The homes demolished belonged to individuals named Ziad Ahmad al-Sheikh, Ghazi Ahmad al-Sheikh, Wael Samara, Murad Shammasneh, and Ahmad Walid al-Dali. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that these demolitions have displaced 20 Palestinians and noted that Israeli forces are continuing to pressure other residents to leave their homes in the area.

Israeli authorities restrict Palestinian access to building permits in Jerusalem, often leading to the demolition of homes or forcing Palestinians to demolish them themselves. These actions are part of a broader strategy aimed at displacing Palestinians from the city and expanding Israeli settlements.
