Barta'a: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday demolished homes, buildings, and commercial storage facilities in the town of Barta'a, west of Jenin, citing a lack of Israeli construction permits, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the demolitions followed an order issued by an Israeli court instructing the removal of the structures on the grounds of alleged building without permits. The demolitions were carried out under heavy deployment of Israeli forces, which closed all entrances leading to the area during the demolition.
The town of Barta'a has witnessed repeated demolition campaigns over recent months. It marks the second such demolition within a week, after Israeli bulldozers demolished eight homes and buildings in the same area last Monday.
