Nablus: Israeli occupation forces began demolishing a house in the Upper Ta'awon area of Nablus on Tuesday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Yasser al-Saber reported that the forces, accompanied by two military bulldozers, entered the area and commenced the demolition of his two-story house, with each floor measuring 190 square meters, citing the reason as construction in Area C.
Al-Saber explained that both his family and his son's family lived in the house and were compelled to evacuate three weeks prior following a demolition order from an Israeli court. He highlighted that the occupation authorities claim the house is situated in Area C, despite maps obtained by the families indicating all the houses are in Area B.
Al-Saber further noted that since the construction of the house seven years ago, he had been contesting the demolition orders in Israeli courts but to no avail. He disclosed that his financial losses have surpassed 250,000 Jordanian dinars, and he had to rent alternative accommodation for his family and his son's family after their eviction. It is important to mention that the occupation forces have demolished around 14 inhabited homes in the Upper Cooperation area over the past two years.
