Tulkarm:Israeli forces seized several homes in the Iktaba suburb, east of Tulkarm, and its surrounding area early Thursday, turning them into military posts after conducting raids.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, a large Israeli military force entered the suburb, deploying infantry units throughout its streets and neighborhoods. They took positions in the eastern part of the area while conducting searches and sweeps.
Israeli forces raided the al-Ayyat family home in Ezbet Abu Bilal in Iktaba, converting it into a military post until 6 a.m. Thursday. Additionally, several homes in the Employees' Housing neighborhood were raided, including those of journalist Moeen Shdeid and his son Ashraf. Shdeid reported that more than 100 soldiers entered his home and neighboring houses, detained his son and wife in a room, and prevented him from visiting his father's house, using his home as a military post for over two hours.
In another incident, Israeli forces seized the home of Abdullah Abu Qasido near the Ahrash Nur Shams refugee camp, forcing its residents to evacuate and turning it into a military post until Thursday morning. Soldiers were also observed taking measurements of a road in Ezbet Abu Bilal, though the reasons for this are unclear.
Later, local sources indicated that Rabie Fawzi Shahrour, from the town of Bal'a, sustained injuries after being assaulted by Israeli forces on the road linking Bal'a and Deir al-Ghusun, and was subsequently taken to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm.
