Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces have maintained their raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, closing its only western entrance.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the al-Mughayyir village council, reported that the forces raided several homes, detaining and interrogating residents on-site. A large military contingent of the Israeli army entered the village from multiple directions, utilizing both military vehicles and infantry units.
The forces detained several residents, though their identities remain unknown, and occupied a residential building belonging to Raed Abu Aliya after evicting its occupants. Abu Naim noted that the western entrance closure, achieved through the use of earth mounds, has disrupted daily life, preventing residents from leaving or entering the village.
The ongoing military presence has hindered employees from reaching their workplaces and students from attending educational institutions. Additionally, the forces distributed leaflets containing threats to the villagers. The western entrance is currently the sole access point to the village, as the eastern entrance was shut down by occupation forces on October 7, 2023.
