Israeli Forces Continue Military Operations in Tulkarem and Nur Shams Camps

Tulkarem: Israeli forces have persisted in their extensive military operations in the city of Tulkarem and its adjacent camps, marking the 90th day of intensified actions in Tulkarem and the 77th day in Nur Shams. The operations have been characterized by ongoing military escalations and repeated incursions by Israeli forces across the city and its camps.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a correspondent reported hearing heavy gunfire near the Martyr Saif Abu Libdeh roundabout at the western entrance to the Nur Shams camp. This occurred following significant movements of Israeli forces around the Employees' Housing neighborhood in the Aktaba suburb, where they raided a house and destroyed surveillance equipment.

Israeli forces continue to deploy reinforcements, including vehicles and infantry units, into Tulkarem, its camps, and suburbs, accompanied by the use of live ammunition and sound bombs. These forces have been conducting raids on homes and shops, leading to the destruction of property and interrogation of those present.

On the previous night, Israeli forces raided several homes in Tulkarem's eastern neighborhood amid heavy pedestrian presence. Additionally, a military checkpoint was established on Nablus Street at the entrance to Tulkarem camp, disrupting the movement of residents and vehicles.

The camps of Tulkarem and Nur Shams are experiencing a significant presence of Israeli forces, employing live ammunition and sound bombs. The situation is compounded by a stringent siege, raids, vandalism of homes, and forced evacuations at gunpoint.

Israeli forces have seized homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the northern neighborhood, converting them into military outposts after evacuating residents. Military vehicles and bulldozers have been stationed in these areas.

Recently, Israeli bulldozers sealed the eastern entrance to the city near Nour Shams camp with earth mounds and closed Nablus Street near the Martyr Saif Abu Libdeh roundabout, further restricting citizens' movement.

The ongoing aggression has resulted in the deaths of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Many others have been injured or arrested, and more than 4,200 families, around 24,000 individuals, have been forcibly displaced from the camps and the northern neighborhood due to the seizure of homes.

The operations have caused significant destruction to infrastructure, with homes, shops, and vehicles being demolished, burned, or vandalized. In the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, 396 homes were completely destroyed, and 2,573 partially damaged.
