Israeli Forces Continue Assault on Tulkarm Amid Tight Siege

Tulkarm: The Israeli occupation forces continue the aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the second day in a row, imposing a tight siege, and causing widespread destruction of citizens' property and infrastructure. WAFA correspondent said that the occupation forces pushed more of their vehicles towards the city and its camp, which they imposed a tight siege on, amidst bulldozing and destruction, with continuous and intensive flights of reconnaissance aircraft at low altitudes.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces forced dozens of families in the camp to leave their homes late last night, under threat of arms, specifically from the airport and Hanoun square neighborhoods, and not to return to them for a week. They seized a number of tall buildings, turning them into military barracks and places for their snipers inside the camp and its surroundings.

The occupation bulldozers destroyed the infrastructure in several of the camp's neighborhoods, specifically Al-Balawneh, Al-Wakala, and schools, affecting water, electricity, sewage, internet, homes, and shop networks. A house belonging to the al-Shaheen family in Al-Wakala neighborhood was burned down.

In the city, the forces bulldozed and destroyed infrastructure in streets, concentrating on Nablus Street at Zenobia School junction, Jamal Abdel Nasser Square, Al-Muqata'a Street in the eastern neighborhood, the street leading to the Martyr Thabet Governmental Hospital, and Khadouri Street in the western neighborhood. The court complex entrance at Al-Alimi Square was completely destroyed, and several citizens' vehicles were damaged.

Occupation snipers targeted the electricity transformer in the western neighborhood, causing a power outage in large parts of the city and its camp. The forces continue their siege of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital, obstructing ambulances and medical crews, while seizing several citizens' homes and turning them into military barracks amidst heavy gunfire.

The forces arrested Jihad Al-Qazli from Aktaba suburb and Samer Hosni Amin Al-Saad from the city, after raiding and searching their homes. Later, occupation vehicles stormed the Jabal Al-Nasr area in the Nour Shams camp east of Tulkarm, positioning themselves on its main axes.
