Salfit: Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Salfit on Monday evening, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, several military vehicles entered the city from its northern entrance and were seen deployed across multiple neighborhoods. A helicopter hovered at a low altitude over the area, providing aerial support, while infantry soldiers were stationed in the Al-Matwi area along the road connecting Salfit to Bruqin to the west.
The sources reported that during the operation, the occupation forces detained and interrogated a number of citizens. Several homes were raided, searched, and some were converted into temporary military barracks after forcibly expelling the residents. The forces also destroyed commercial stalls in various neighborhoods and vandalized the upper floor of the Al-Noor building.
In response to the security situation, the Governor of Salfit, Mustafa Taqatqa, announced the suspension of work in all official government offices in the city for the following day, Tuesday, to ensure the safety of employees and residents.
