Post: Israeli Forces Compel Palestinian to Demolish Home Extension in Beit Jala

Gaza: Israeli forces forced on Tuesday a Palestinian resident to demolish an extension to his own home in Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem. Beit Jala Mayor Vladimir Kharoufeh informed that the demolition was mandated for a property belonging to Mario Abu Saad. The home, originally built before 1967, is situated near the separation wall in the Bir Auna area, northeast of the city.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli court rejected an appeal against the demolition order. The extensions, which included a side building and a second floor, were deemed unauthorized. In addition to the demolition, a fine of 250,000 shekels was imposed on Abu Saad should he fail to comply with the order.
