Israeli Forces Close Gates And Set Checkpoint At West Bank Town Entrances

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces tightened restrictions at the entrances to Ein Siniya and Atara on Sunday morning, closing gates and setting a checkpoint that blocked vehicle access and led to vehicle searches and traffic congestion.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, soldiers closed two gates at the entrances to Atara, blocking vehicle access to and from villages and towns north of Ramallah. At the same time, soldiers set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to Ein Siniya, where they conducted random vehicle searches and caused traffic congestion in the area.

Israeli occupation forces impose restrictions on Palestinian movement through roadblocks, gates, and checkpoints.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission says the number of Israeli barriers across the West Bank has reached 898, including military checkpoints and metal gates.

Residents in the affected area experienced delays and disruption to vehicle movement as a result of the closures and the checkpoint.
