Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces fully closed the entrances to the villages of Atara and Ein Sinya north of Ramallah on Saturday evening, preventing all movement in and out.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the forces set up military checkpoints at both entrances, leading to severe disruption in the movement of residents and vehicles, and resulting in the detention of some individuals.
The two checkpoints are crucial as they serve as main entrances to the city of Ramallah for those arriving from the northern West Bank and the villages and towns of the northern countryside of Ramallah.
In a related incident, Israeli forces fired a tear gas canister inside a butcher shop in Birzeit after raiding the town north of Ramallah. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from this incident.
