Bethlehem: Israeli forces attacked Palestinian farmers in the village of Rashaydeh, east of Bethlehem, as they were plowing their land on Thursday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Rashaydeh village council, Jumaa Rashaydeh, reported that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at the farmers in the Wadi Abu Ayyash area. The soldiers also forced the farmers to vacate their land at gunpoint.
Rashaydeh further explained that Israeli troops detained two Palestinians, assaulting them before eventually releasing them. This incident followed a similar event on Wednesday, where Israeli forces and colonists attacked Palestinians in the same area. During that attack, a young man was shot in the foot with live ammunition.
