Israeli Forces Besiege Homes in Salem, Injuring Palestinian Citizen

Nablus: A Palestinian citizen was injured with live ammunition on Sunday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces besieging two homes in the town of Salem, east of Nablus. The incident occurred amidst heightened tensions in the area as military reinforcements arrived.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Salem Village Council, Adli Shtayyeh, reported that Israeli forces stormed the village and surrounded two homes on the eastern side of the town. The operation was accompanied by the sound of gunfire, leading to confrontations between the troops and local residents. During these clashes, live ammunition was fired intensively at citizens and their homes.

Medical sources from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that a 62-year-old Palestinian citizen was injured with live ammunition in the foot and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. The situation remains tense as residents and authorities assess the impact of the confrontation.
