Israeli Forces Assault and Detain Palestinian Teenager Near Nablus

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening assaulted and detained a Palestinian teenager in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiyya village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources. They reported that the soldiers, armed with guns, brutally beat a 17-year-old while he was driving his father's vehicle in the village, concurrently firing gunshots.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the soldiers subsequently transferred the teenager to a house within the village that had been taken over and repurposed as an army outpost. The occupation forces' raid on Palestinian homes is a frequent occurrence across the West Bank, often justified by the search for 'wanted' Palestinians, which tends to provoke clashes with local residents.

These military operations are conducted without the requirement of a search warrant, at any time and place the military deems necessary, due to its extensive arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, commanding officers possess full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, leaving the Palestinian population without any influence over the exercise of this authority.
