Post: Israeli Court Rejects Appeal to Halt Demolition of Al-Rifaiya School

Hebron: An Israeli occupation court on Tuesday rejected an appeal seeking to halt the demolition of Al-Rifaiya School, east of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Bassam Jabr, director of education for the Masafer Yatta area, stated that the court dismissed the appeal filed by the school's lawyer against the demolition order issued by the Israeli occupation authorities. The school serves approximately 400 elementary students from the Zif area and several nearby communities located along the colonial road east of Hebron.

Jabr mentioned that the court has allowed the occupation authorities a 14-day period before proceeding with the demolition. He also noted that lawyers have submitted a further appeal. Human rights organizations are monitoring the situation and condemning the targeting of the school and the education sector, particularly in Masafer Yatta, the town of Bani Naim, and communities situated near colonial roads.
