Israeli Colonists Vandalize Agricultural Shed Near Salfit

Salfit: Israeli colonists on Monday vandalized a Palestinian-owned agricultural shed between Az-Zawiya and Rafat towns, west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources. They reported that the colonists sabotaged the shed and fenced off over 500 dunums of Palestinian-owned farmland as a prelude to taking it over for colonial settlement expansion. The vandals came from a nearby pastoral colonial outpost.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, violence by colonists against Palestinians and their properties is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. This violence includes acts such as property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is in violation of international law.
