Israeli Colonists Storm Bedouin Community Northwest of Jericho

Jericho: A group of extremist colonists stormed the Arab al-Malihat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho on Monday, in yet another act of provocation and intimidation against Palestinian civilians in the Jordan Valley.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated in a press release that the colonists invaded the village in the early morning hours using quad bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and four-wheel drives associated with the Israeli colonial council in the Jordan Valley.

During the incursion, the colonists filmed the homes of local residents, causing panic and fear among families who already endure persistent threats and harassment. Malihat further reported that the colonists deliberately targeted students and staff at the Bedouin Ka'abneh School in the community, leading to heightened anxiety and disruption of the educational environment.

He condemned the incursion as part of a broader, systematic effort by the Israeli occupation to forcibly displace indigenous Palestinian communities to expand illegal colonial outposts in the area. Malihat called on the international community to urgently intervene to protect Palestinian civilians and halt the ongoing violations.
