Ramallah: Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds on Monday in Masafer Yatta, located south of Hebron. The attack took place in the western part of Al-Rakeez village, resulting in two individuals, Muhammad Yahya Abu Aram, 35, and Elias Saeed Al-Amour, suffering from suffocation and fainting after being sprayed with pepper spray.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the victims were transported to Yatta Governmental Hospital for medical treatment following the incident. The colonists also unleashed their dogs on the villagers' livestock, leading to injuries among several animals.
Israeli occupation forces reportedly detained Ibrahim Muhammad Makhameh from Huwara village in Masafer Yatta. This detention occurred after colonists released their livestock near Makhameh's home, causing damage to his crops.
Additionally, colonists, with the support of Israeli forces, attacked shepherds from the Alian Awad family in Khirbet Wadi Abu Shaban in Masafer Yatta. They fired tear gas canisters at the shepherds. In another incident in Al-Mufaqara village, colonists attacked shepherds and attempted to steal livestock belonging to Fadel Al-Hamamdeh.
