Ramallah: Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening kidnapped a Palestinian from Rammun town, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources. They reported that colonists stormed the outskirts of the town, kidnapped a young man, and stole the sheep of another. The kidnappers later turned the captive over to Israeli occupation forces.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, three Palestinians sustained injuries in the course of ensuing confrontations. Violence perpetrated by colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Such violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is a violation of international law.
