Israeli Colonists Ignite Agricultural Land in Sa’ir, Northeast of Hebron

Hebron: Israeli colonists set fire on Monday evening to agricultural land in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. Local sources reported that the attack targeted areas planted with grapevines, almonds, and olives, belonging to local families including the Shalaldeh and Tarwa.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, dozens of colonists from a nearby settlement stormed Wadi Sa'ir to set the land ablaze. The perpetrators burned dozens of dunums of farmland, causing significant damage to the crops and impacting the livelihoods of the local community.

The residents of Sa'ir have expressed concerns over the frequency of such attacks. They believe these acts are part of a broader strategy by the colonists and Israeli forces to displace local citizens from their ancestral lands. The ultimate goal, locals assert, is to facilitate the expansion of colonial settlements in the region, further encroaching on Palestinian territories.
