Israeli Colonists Graze Sheep on Palestinian-Owned Land in Northern Jordan Valley

Kardala: Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening grazed their sheep on Palestinian-owned cultivated land in Kardala village in the northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources. They reported that the colonists targeted an olive grove that belongs to Palestinian villagers in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, such incidents of colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property are commonplace in the West Bank. These acts are infrequently prosecuted by Israeli authorities. The violence perpetrated by the colonists also extends to property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among other forms of aggression.

Currently, there are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies within the West Bank and East Jerusalem. This settlement is considered a violation of international law, further complicating the already tense relations between the communities in the region.
