Jerusalem: Israeli colonists have forcibly displaced three Bedouin families from the Al-Ara'ara clan in the Al-Hathroura Bedouin community, located near Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that this displacement occurred amidst escalating colonist attacks, which have intensified following the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the attacks have forced the families to flee to protect their lives and property. The Governorate detailed that these attacks include storming the area, direct assaults on residents, theft of property, harassment of shepherds, and prevention of sheep grazing. These actions are reportedly carried out with the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
Previously, two other families from the same community were also forced to leave due to similar attacks. The Governorate stated that these displacements are part of a systematic policy aimed at restricting Bedouin communities to facilitate settlement expansion by creating a hostile environment.
Human rights and international organizations have called for urgent intervention to halt these attacks and protect citizens in the threatened Bedouin communities.
