Khirbet al-farisiya: Israeli colonists today fenced off agricultural lands in Khirbet al-Farisiya, a hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley, in preparation for taking them over. Mehdi Daraghmeh, head of the Al-Maleh village council, reported that the colonists targeted additional areas of privately-owned agricultural land, which are registered with official proof of ownership.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, residents of the northern Jordan Valley are currently preparing for the new agricultural season, focusing on growing rain-fed crops to provide fodder for their livestock. However, for months, colonists have fenced off hundreds of dunums of pastoral land. This is part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring residents to leave their homes and lands.
In recent months, the northern Jordan Valley has witnessed a sharp escalation in attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinians and their properties. These assaults include storming homes, spreading fear among residents, physical attacks, the destruction of property, chasing shepherds from grazing areas, preventing their access, and attacking or stealing their livestock.
