Masafer yatta: Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening continued their rampage of terror and violence in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a media activist.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Osama Makhamra reported that colonists chased shepherds in Khirbet Qwawis, released their cattle in the Khirbet al-Halaweh community, and broke into several dwellings. The colonists also released their livestock and camels in al-Markez and Khirber At-Tabban among other communities in Masafer Yatta.
Meanwhile, armed colonists gathered at Wadi Sa'ir, preventing Palestinians from accessing a nearby traffic artery. This incident is part of a pattern where colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank goes largely unprosecuted by Israeli authorities.
The acts of violence include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, a situation that stands in violation of international law.
