Tubas: Israeli colonists obstructed the work of teaching staff at Al-Maleh School in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, on Sunday morning. Director of Education in Tubas, Azmi Balawneh, reported that several colonists interfered with the school staff, attempting to prevent the commencement of the regular school day.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the school serves several Bedouin communities in the northern Jordan Valley, including Al-Hadidiya, Mak'houl, Samra, Al-Maleh, and Ein al-Hilweh. The interference by colonists has raised concerns about the safety and stability of educational activities in the region.
In a related incident, human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh highlighted that Israeli colonists obstructed a trader from delivering a fodder truck to a resident in Hammamat Al-Maleh, a nearby hamlet. The colonists had previously stormed Al-Maleh multiple times on Saturday, attempting to steal livestock from local residents.
Over the past week, Israeli colonists have established a new colonial outpost in the Al-Maleh area. This has led to a near-constant presence among the residents' tents, further escalating tensions and impacting the daily lives of the Bedouin communities.
