Israeli Colonists Attempt Arson Attack on Palestinian Home Near Bethlehem

Bethlehem: Israeli colonists attempted to set fire to a Palestinian home in the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem. Homeowner Ahmad Nassar Rshaydeh reported that the attack occurred around 2:00 a.m. when a group from the nearby illegal outpost of Ma'ale Amos targeted his house.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists smashed a window and threw a Molotov cocktail into an unoccupied room. Rshaydeh managed to contain the fire before it could spread, preventing further damage to the property. As the attackers fled, they reportedly fired live ammunition at the house. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Rshaydeh stated that this incident is part of a series of attacks aimed at intimidating his family and driving them from the area. He expressed concern over the increasing frequency of such attacks.

The situation east of Bethlehem has seen a rise in violence, with recent reports of home invasions in al-Minya and Wadi Sa'ir, injuries to residents, and the torching of vehicles. These acts contribute to the growing tension and insecurity among the local Palestinian population.
