Tubas: Israeli colonists on Thursday night attacked two young Palestinian men while they were guarding a water well in the Atouf area, southeast of Tubas, according to local officials.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Mutaaz Basharat, head of the settlement file in Tubas Governorate, reported that four colonists dressed in military-style clothing assaulted the guards at an agricultural artesian well owned by a local Palestinian farmer. The colonists also infiltrated the facility, tampered with its electrical panel, and halted the well's water pumping operations.
Basharat highlighted that the same group subsequently invaded the homes of five families in the nearby Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar area. During this incursion, they attacked residents, demolished electricity networks, and destroyed surveillance cameras. The families were also threatened with forced displacement within a few days.
Additionally, Basharat mentioned that the colonists damaged sections of a water pipeline that serves homes and agricultural lands east of Atouf, further escalating the impact of the attack on local infrastructure.
