Israeli Colonists Attack Palestinian Vehicles Northwest of Jericho

Jericho: Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening attacked Palestinian vehicles northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to local sources. They said that colonists obstructed the Al-Muarrajat road and threw stones at passing Palestinian vehicles, shattering the windows of several cars.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, violence from colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and is seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities. The acts of violence by colonists encompass a range of activities including property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies located within the West Bank and East Jerusalem. These settlements are considered to be in violation of international law.
