Jerusalem: Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked Palestinian-licensed vehicles near the Mikhmas roundabout, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to local sources. They reported that dozens of colonists gathered at the roundabout, intercepting and attacking passing Palestinian-registered vehicles, which resulted in traffic disruptions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and rarely leads to prosecution by Israeli authorities. Such acts of violence encompass a range of offenses, including property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes deemed vulnerable.
Currently, approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies located in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in violation of international law.
