Ramallah:Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village of Deir al-Sudan, north of Ramallah, on Friday. The attackers stole the harvested olives and forced the farmers to leave their lands.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the colonists, accompanied by dogs and protected by Israeli forces, warned the harvesters not to return to their fields. This incident is part of a series of 19 reported attacks by colonists across the occupied West Bank since Friday morning.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission detailed these attacks, which involved assaults on olive harvesters, burning of trees, and theft of crops and livestock. Specific incidents included burning a vehicle during an assault on farmers in Tell, uprooting over 50 olive trees in Qusra, and attacks on olive harvesters in Jurish, Beita, al-Naqoura, Birzeit, Deir Ibzi', and Fara'ata. In Deir Ballut, live ammunition was fired, and a farmer was injured in Kafr al-Dik.
The commission further reported that an elderly woman was injured in Birin, east of Hebron, after colonists released dogs on farmers. Additionally, sheep were stolen in Ein Qiniya, and a Palestinian man and his child were assaulted, with their vehicle stolen in Yabrud. Attacks on vehicles were also noted in Surda and the al-Reihan neighborhood in Ramallah province.
