Israeli Colonists Attack Palestinian Farmers and Destroy Olive Trees in Salfit

Salfit: Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian farmers working on their land in the village of Farkha, south of Salfit, according to a local official. The armed colonists opened live ammunition at farmers while attending their land and uprooted centuries-old olive trees.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the village council, Mustafa Hammad, reported that seven colonists, including two armed men, assaulted residents in the Al-Safaha area, cutting down and breaking ancient olive trees.

Israeli occupation forces later detained ten Palestinians following the colonists' attack. Hammad noted that the colonists regularly graze their livestock on Palestinian land, and the area has been subjected to repeated attacks aimed at preventing residents from accessing their lands, in preparation for seizing them for colonial expansion.
