Israeli Colonists Attack Bedouin Communities in Occupied Jerusalem

Jerusalem: Groups of Israeli colonists attacked the Al-Ara'ara Bedouin community, located east of the town of Jaba' north of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources. Hassan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that colonists assaulted residents of the Al-Ara'ara community, pouring flammable materials on olive trees and setting nearby olive groves on fire.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mleihat stated that the attacks on Al-Ara'ara residents are part of a broader effort to force them off their lands, aligning with the Israeli government's E1 settlement project. Additionally, Israeli colonists targeted the nearby Khallet al-Sidra Bedouin community, setting fire to homes, although no injuries were reported.

Mleihat warned of the imminent danger facing Bedouin communities east and northeast of Jerusalem, emphasizing the threat of removal due to ongoing occupation policies. This situation is exacerbated by the E1 plan, which has faced criticism from human rights organizations. The plan's implementation could lead to forcible transfer, a breach of international law, and result in serious humanitarian and political repercussions.
