Salfit: A Palestinian man was assaulted on Sunday by a group of armed Israeli colonists while driving near the village of Marda, east of Salfit, resulting in significant damage to his vehicle.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the victim, a resident of Marda, was traveling along a rugged dirt road in the Wadi Yasuf area. This unofficial route connects the villages of Marda and Yasuf. The Palestinian man was ambushed by armed colonists while on this road.
The colonists physically attacked the man and vandalized his vehicle. They further threatened him and forced him to turn back toward his village.
The dirt road has become a vital secondary route for Palestinians in the area. The closure of main roads by Israeli occupation authorities has limited civilian movement and access between cities, towns, and villages, making routes like the one in Wadi Yasuf crucial for local residents.
