Ramallah: Israeli colonists assaulted Jerusalem Water Undertaking (JWU) staff at the Ein Samia area, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah. The incident disrupted vital maintenance work on a water well, affecting water supplies to over 19 communities for a second day.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists attacked the JWU staff, further escalating the water crisis in the region. The assailants fenced off two water wells, preventing access for necessary maintenance and repairs. This action has compounded the challenges faced by the affected communities, which are already experiencing water shortages.
JWU has called for urgent measures to protect the water wells and ensure the safety of its staff from future attacks. The organization emphasized the need for immediate action to resume the water supply to Palestinian communities and safeguard these critical resources.
