Post: Israeli Colonists Assault Bedouins Near Jericho

Jericho: Extremist colonists stormed the village of Shalla al-Auja, north of Jericho, on Tuesday morning and assaulted Bedouin citizens while they were on their lands, as part of a systematic escalation aimed at forcibly displacing them.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malihat, the General Supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that the colonists, supported by the Israeli occupation army, assaulted the residents with sticks and used trained dogs against them. They also issued threats to burn the Bedouins' property if they did not vacate the area.

Malihat further explained that this attack forms part of an organized forced displacement policy targeting Bedouin communities in Area C. The objective is to expand settlement control and establish a new demographic reality in the region. The residents of Shalla al-Auja, similar to other Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, regularly face attacks on their lands and homes.
