Atara: An Israeli colonist seized water tanks from a Palestinian home in the town of Atara, north of Ramallah, using a bulldozer to remove them from the rooftop. A video circulating online showed the colonist operating the bulldozer to reach the roof of the house, where he removed the tanks and took possession of them.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, the incident is part of the ongoing violations committed by colonists against Palestinian residents and their property in the towns and villages of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate. These violations include damage to private property and infrastructure, and the violence perpetrated by colonists is routine in the West Bank. Despite the frequency of such incidents, they are rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists' acts of violence against Palestinians and their property often involve property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
