Hebron: An Israeli colonist on Wednesday attacked a Palestinian mother and her child in Khirbet al-Markez of the Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to an activist. Osama Makhamra reported that the colonist physically assaulted the mother and child after breaking into their family's dwelling in the hamlet, resulting in bruises for both victims.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the incident was followed by actions from the occupation forces, who issued several notices to halt construction on various structures and ordered the demolition of others in the al-Abbadiya area of Umm Qissa in the Yatta wilderness. The ongoing tensions in the region have raised concerns over the safety and security of the local Palestinian residents.
