Deir al-Balah: Israeli bombing Monday evening killed several Palestinian civilians and injured others in Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent. He said that Israeli fighter jets targeted a house of the Ghurab family, west of the city, claiming the lives of four and injuring others.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources have reported that Israeli occupation forces killed over 45 Palestinians on Monday. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.
The death toll has reached 1,391 with 3,434 others wounded, according to medical sources. Emergency teams are working to recover victims still trapped beneath the rubble. The renewed aggression is causing significant concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip due to the ongoing siege and ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid.
Since October 2023, Israel has conducted a military campaign on the Strip, resulting in the deaths of 50,752 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 115,475 others. Furthermore, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
This aggression has also led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip, with most of the displaced being driven into the densely populated southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
