Israeli Bombardment Claims Lives of Humanitarian Aid Workers in Gaza

Gaza city: Two citizens were killed and others wounded on Sunday following an Israeli bombardment targeting humanitarian aid workers in the Intelligence Service area, northwest of Gaza City.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that the bombardment resulted in fatalities and injuries among aid workers and their companions. This assault comes amidst ongoing attacks that have increasingly targeted relief efforts, leading to a complete collapse of the humanitarian system in the Gaza Strip.

In a separate but related incident, Raafat Hussein al-Arja, 34, who worked at the al-Tina aid center in northwest Rafah, was killed due to a direct attack on the center he supervised.

This escalation in violence occurs as the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has surpassed 209,000, with the majority of victims being children and women. More than 11,000 people remain missing, and hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their homes. Meanwhile, famine is spreading due to the absence of safe corridors and the continued complete blockade, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
