Post: Israeli Authorities Issue Eviction Orders to 17 Families in Um Tuba

Um tuba: Israeli occupation authorities have delivered eviction notices to 17 Palestinian families living in the Al-Mashahid neighborhood of Um Tuba village, located south of occupied Jerusalem.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the orders claim that the homes in question are built on land purportedly owned by the Jewish National Fund (JNF). The Palestinian Authority's Jerusalem Governorate has reported that the Israeli municipality has posted signs in the neighborhood, signed by the Israel Land Authority, warning residents against entering the lands which are claimed to be under confiscation, and indicating that the existing homes are subject to seizure.

This development is part of a broader effort to displace Palestinian residents from their homes and expand control over land in occupied East Jerusalem, actions that have faced international criticism.
