Israeli Authorities Demolish Two Houses South of Hebron

Hebron: Israeli occupation authorities Thursday began demolishing two Palestinian homes in the village of al-Rihiya, south of Hebron, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, activist Osama al-Harsh confirmed that Israeli bulldozers commenced the demolition of the two-story home belonging to Ibrahim Muhammad Atta al-Harsh, each floor covering an area of 220 square meters. Additionally, the home of Atallah Ahmed al-Harsh, which is under construction, was also targeted. This structure comprises two floors, with the first floor measuring 120 square meters and the second 220 square meters.

Al-Harsh highlighted that the occupation forces had issued demolition notices to over 20 homes in the area three years ago. The affected area is situated more than 10 kilometers from the illegal colony of Hagai.

He further reported that the occupation forces assaulted Musa Attaallah al-Harsh and Hassan Musa al-Hallaq. They also deployed sound and tear gas grenades against local citizens who were protesting the demolitions, aiming to disperse the crowd and prevent any interference with the demolition activities.

These demolitions are taking place amidst a backdrop of accelerating colonial expansion on lands designated as Area C.
