Al-zarazir: Israeli authorities on Thursday demolished two houses in the village of Al-Zarazir in the Galilee, in the 1948 territories, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the two houses belonged to the Jawamis family. One of the houses was occupied, while the other was still under construction at the time of demolition.
These demolitions occur amidst a significant rise in home demolitions in Arab towns within the 1948 territories over recent years. Israeli authorities have intensified the enforcement of demolition orders, citing unlicensed construction as the reason. Meanwhile, Arab towns continue to struggle with systematic restrictions on planning and building, exacerbated by the absence of proper structural maps.
