Post: Israeli Authorities Announce Seizure of Land Near Tulkarm

Tulkarm: Israeli occupation authorities have announced the seizure of nearly 30 dunums of land in the villages of Shufa and Kafr al-Labad, located east of Tulkarm. The land is being seized under the pretext of military purposes.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the Shufa Village Council received a notice stating that 29.973 dunums within Basin No. 2 in the areas of Shufa and Kafr al-Labad are to be seized. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli forces had already appropriated the majority of these lands in 1977 under a previous military order. The current order adds an estimated 217 square meters, increasing the total area seized to approximately 30 dunums.

This development is part of a broader trend of Israeli policies focused on appropriating more Palestinian land in the Tulkarm governorate, especially in its southern and eastern areas. There are growing concerns that military orders are being used to facilitate the expansion of colonial projects and related infrastructure, impacting agricultural land and privately owned Palestinian properties.
