Israeli Army Refrains from Disciplinary Action Against Soldiers Who Expelled Families

Ramallah: The Israeli occupation army has decided not to take any disciplinary action against soldiers who were involved in the expulsion of families from their homes in the village of Rantis, located northwest of Ramallah.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the army stated that their course of action would be limited to "reprimanding" the soldiers and reiterating the instructions that had been issued to them. This decision comes in response to incidents over the past two weeks where soldiers threatened six Palestinian families, resulting in five families leaving their homes and lands. The sixth family, which owns a farm in the area, chose to remain on their property.

The expulsion of these families was reportedly conducted on the personal initiative of the soldiers, who did not possess the authority to carry out such actions. This unauthorized move has sparked concerns and discussions regarding the conduct and oversight of military personnel in the occupied territories.
