Beirut: The Israeli occupation army has issued warnings for residents to evacuate four significant neighborhoods in the Dahiyeh district of southern Beirut, Lebanon's capital. This directive comes amid ongoing intense airstrikes and heavy bombardment impacting various parts of the country.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the neighborhoods affected by this evacuation order are Borj el-Barajneh, Hadath, Haret Hreik, and Chiyah. This move follows a prior warning targeting the entire southern region of Lebanon. The current evacuation directive is poised to increase the displacement of Lebanese civilians as Israeli military actions intensify.
On the same day, Israeli airstrikes targeted several locations in Lebanon, including the town of Siddiqine and the Al-Housh area in Tyre, resulting in civilian injuries. This development marks a significant escalation in the level of military action, as the Israeli army had previously only mandated evacuations of specific buildings within the Dahiyeh district. The current order to vacate entire neighborhoods represents a notable shift in the scope of military operations.
