Israeli Army Detains Over 30 Palestinians in Extensive Arrest Campaign

Jerusalem: In a large-scale operation, Israeli forces have detained more than 30 Palestinians in the occupied territories, as confirmed by the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS). The arrests took place during a campaign that occurred last night and continued into this morning, targeting several key areas.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the detainees include former prisoners and active political figures, with the arrests concentrated in the governorates of Jenin, Salfit, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, Ramallah, and Hebron. The operation is part of a broader strategy by the Israeli forces, which have been conducting raids and exerting pressure on these regions.

In addition to the arrests, Israeli forces have been actively raiding towns northwest of Jerusalem for the past four days. These operations have involved field investigations, as well as acts described as systematic collective punishment. There have been reports of assaults on Palestinians and vandalism of homes, though the precise number of arrests remains unconfirmed.

The ongoing conflict has seen a significant number of detentions. Since the onset of hostilities perceived as genocidal by some, over 19,000 detention cases have been recorded in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. This figure does not account for the thousands of arrests in Gaza, which include both those who have been detained and subsequently released.
