Israeli Army Converts Homes in Ya’bad into Military Barracks for Fourth Day

Ya'bad: The Israeli occupation army has continued to close the town of Ya'bad, near Jenin, converting local homes into military barracks for the fourth day as of Tuesday.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ya'bad Mayor Amjad Atatra reported that the Israeli forces initially stormed the town last Friday, sealing its entrances and occupying several homes after forcing residents to evacuate. This occupation has significantly disrupted daily life, paralyzing movement within the town and compelling residents to navigate rough roads for entry and exit.

Atatra also noted that the presence of the Israeli forces has led to service disruptions. Municipal teams are facing difficulties accessing the town to conduct necessary repairs. Additionally, the Directorate of Education in southern Jenin has announced a shift to online learning for government schools in Ya'bad to prioritize student safety amidst the ongoing military presence.
